Getting Here
Seaside city Timaru is centrally located on the East Coast of Te Waipounamu (the South Island), approximately halfway between Christchurch and Dunedin on State Highway 1.
Fly:
You can fly directly into Timaru's Richard Pearse Airport with Air New Zealand from Wellington.
Or fly into Dunedin, Queenstown or Christchurch's International Airports and drive from there.
Bike Hire:
You can bring your bike with you when you fly into Timaru Airport, where you'll find a bike assembly station. The airport will even store you bike bag for free if you let them know in advance. Alternatively you can hire bikes from The Cyclery in Timaru, or for the e-bike option check out Point E-Bikes.
Drive:
You can join the ROAM loop in an easy two hour drive from Christchurch, Queenstown or Dunedin.

Explore the ROAM Loop in a self-drive fully equipped 2, 3 or 4 berth motorhome from Kia Ora Campers, based in Timaru. Book ahead and they'll meet you at Timaru Airport.
